Conference Location

The EUSPN 2026 and ICTH 2026 will be held at Satbayev University (SU), which is located in Almaty. SU (https://satbayev.university/en) is a leading national research technical university in Kazakhstan, founded in 1934. SU is one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious engineering institutions, playing a key role in training specialists for industry, science, and high-tech sectors.

The Satbayev university is a major scientific and educational hub with well-developed research and innovation infrastructure, including research centers, laboratories, and pilot production facilities. Its key areas of expertise include engineering, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, energy, mining, and oil and gas engineering.

Satbayev University is actively engaged in international cooperation and integration into the global academic community. It collaborates with numerous foreign universities, implements joint educational and research programs, and regularly participates in international scientific initiatives. With its strong research capacity, modern facilities, and experience in hosting academic events, Satbayev University provides an excellent platform for organizing international scientific conferences.

Direction to Venue

Almaty is served by Almaty International Airport (ALA), the main international gateway to the city, located approximately 15–20 km from Satbayev University. The average travel time from the airport to the university or the city center is about 25–40 minutes by car, depending on traffic conditions. Transportation options from the airport include:

  • Taxi services (e.g., Yandex Go, inDrive): Average cost ranges from 3,000 to 6,000 KZT (approximately 6–12 USD).
  • Airport taxi (official services): Typically slightly higher, around 6,000–8,000 KZT (approximately 12–16 USD).
  • Public transport (bus): Several bus routes connect the airport to the city. Travel time is about 40–60 minutes, with a cost of approximately 100–200 KZT (less than 1 USD).

For participants who prefer to come through Kazakistan's capital - Astana, the distance between Astana and Almaty about 1 227,3 km and it takes about 1.5h by flight.

Parking facilities are available on and around the Satbayev University campus for participants who choose to travel by car. As an urban university located in central Almaty, the campus provides on-site and nearby parking areas, typically used by students, staff, and visitors. In most cases, basic campus parking is available free of charge, although availability may be limited during peak hours due to high demand. Additionally, there are public parking zones and private parking lots in the surrounding area, some of which may require a fee depending on duration and location.

Almaty is a beautiful place to visit with amazing mountains. Tourists can visit the “Shymbulak” ski resort which is unique in its location – in just 1 hour, you can get from Almaty city center to its highest point and drink coffee in the highest bar in the CIS.
