About ICTH 2026

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) continue to evolve and play a vital role in the advancement of modern healthcare and computing research. ICTs and its applications have a significant impact on the healthcare industry, as they play an important role in the delivery of better and efficient healthcare services and in the enhancement of the quality of life in our society. Research in the broad spectrum of ICT in different aspects of the healthcare sector include computer based and wireless computing, wearable computing, sensor based systems, context aware computing, user-centric computing, distributed computing, artificial intelligence, virtual environments and human computer interaction. With the social, economic and technical needs and challenges, the healthcare and medical industry is continuously exploring these emerging technologies, applications and paradigms for improved, reliable, efficient, cost-effective, collaborative and secure multipurpose solutions.

ICTH 2026 brings together multi-disciplinary researchers, professionals and practitioners from both academia and industry, who are involved in the fields of computing / information technology and healthcare. It encourages innovative research contributions providing the recent and significant developments and promising future trends of ICT based applications, systems, tools, environments and infrastructures in the fields of healthcare / medical care, and other similar domains, such as public health and pharmaceutical industry. The ICTH 2026 will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on October 28-30, 2026. The ICTH 2026 will be held in conjunction with the 17th International Conference on Emerging Ubiquitous Systems and Pervasive Networks (EUSPN).

Almaty the largest city in Kazakhstan, is a vibrant cultural, financial, and scientific center located in the southeastern part of the country, at the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. Known for its scenic beauty, green spaces, and mild climate, Almaty offers a unique combination of urban life and natural landscapes.

The city is famous for its picturesque surroundings and outdoor attractions. The Medeu high-mountain skating rink, one of the highest in the world, and the Shymbulak ski resort are popular destinations for winter sports enthusiasts. Just outside the city, the Big Almaty Lake attracts visitors with its stunning turquoise waters and panoramic mountain views.

Almaty also features a rich cultural and historical heritage. Key landmarks include Panfilov Park, home to the colorful Zenkov Cathedral—one of the tallest wooden buildings in the world—and the Central State Museum, which showcases Kazakhstan’s history and traditions. Kok-Tobe Hill offers panoramic views of the city and is accessible by cable car, making it a popular tourist spot.

Mountainous areas are the visiting card of Almaty. You can begin your acquaintance with them on a ride by cable car to the city's highest point, Kok-Tyube (Blue Hill), 1130 m above sea level. From here you can view a splendid panorama of the mountain ranges and the city. If you take a ride across the dam on the comfortable road, you will reach another pearl of Almaty, the Chimbulak ski resort, situated at a height of 2230 m. Near the resort hotel there is a 1500-m cableway which takes skiers to the Talgar Pass (3,163 m above sea level). From here begins a 3000 m downhill ski run. From Chimbulak the road continues up to spots popular with mountain climbers and hikers, due to their technical alpine routes and the beauty of majestic views.

In addition, Almaty is known for its lively atmosphere, with numerous theatres, galleries, restaurants, and cafes. The city’s blend of modern infrastructure, natural beauty, and cultural attractions makes it an attractive destination for both tourists and international events such as conferences and exhibitions.
